March 7th, the first "Series of online recruitment seminars of Chinese universities for Thai students" was held at Liaoning Normal University (LNNU), cosponsored by the Chinese Teachers Association of Thailand and the "Chinese Bridge" Club (Bangkok Station). Dean Cao Ru, associate dean Li Yanming, director of the office Feng Junjie, and the admission officers of College of International Education attended the meeting. This event attracted thousands of teachers and students from more than 10 secondary schools, including the Royal Rose Garden Middle School in Thailand and the Chongfahsinseung School in Chiang Mai. Feng Junying, Education Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, Wang Huichang, Representative of the Center for Language Education and Cooperation--Bangkok Affairs, and Luo Zongzheng, Chairman of the Chinese Teachers Association of Thailand, gave opening speeches at the seminar and wished a great success. Dean Cao Ru of College of International Education introduced the basic situation of LNNU and the current situation of international education development in China. She mentioned that after 36 years of development, LNNU has formed a distinctive brand of overseas education. She sincerely welcomes students from Thailand to further their study in Liaoning Normal University. Then, Ms. Song Jie from the Admission Office introduced our university's enrollment policy, major and curriculum information and scholarship program to the students, and had online interaction with oversea students and parents, and answered questions about major information, scholarship information and other concerns related to study in China. This online recruitment seminar is a new attempt of our university to enroll international students under the circumstances of the global epidemic. Thailand is the second largest source of international students after South Korea, the development of online recruitment seminar will be an efficient tool for our university to recruit students from Thailand and we believe this will bring new opportunities for our university.
